(3/24/25) A very big well done has to go out to Nick, Rythyk and Joey who all competed in Sunday's Nanka Spring Tournament. All of them should be proud of what they did and experienced. If Judo was easy we would all be champions.... This was the first Judo tournament ever for Nick and Rythyk and although the fights did not go their way, they both were able to take away lessons that will only make them better competitors. Joey also did terrific only narrowly missing out on taking a bronze meal.  

(12/9/24) Big "well done" to Joey who competed at this years Grassroots Winter National Tournament, This is one of the largest events in the entire country with over 1500 athletes.  Joey fought in the Bantam 6 division, which included many high ranked players.

(11/18/24)  Added helpful documents on Judo rules. Those students who are either interested in competing or wishing to try their hand at Refereeing should take  look. You can find links to these documents on the Kids Class or the Judo Waza pages. Also on the Judo Waza Page is a an essay written by Keith on the Forms of Judo.  

(11/3/24) Joey and Jacob competed in today's 29th Mojica Tournament. Both competed well and a great example to our dojo. This was Jacob's first tournament and he took second place. Congratulations to them both.

(9/22/24)  Congratulations to Thomas and Mehrdad who competed in this years Nanka Fall Tournament. Thomas took a Bronze Medal, while Mehrdad competed in two divisions taking the Silver medal in both.

(7/22/24)  Promotion season continues with Hideyoshi achieving his Green Belt and Musashi getting his Green with Stripe. Well done to them both.

(7/1/24)  Two more promotion announcements. Hayee and Kate both promoted to Green belt. Congratulations and well done.

(6/2/24) More congratulations to go to Joey. Joey was awarded the El Toro Judo Club Outstanding Judoka at the 2024 Nanka Installation and Awards Banquet. With over 200 in attendance, Joey was rubbing shoulders with Olympic judo medalists and 10th Dan Judoka. Great job..

(5/17/24) Congratulations to Jayden on promoting up to Orange Belt. Well Done.

(5/5/24) It was a very Happy Birthday for Joey, as he displayed a confident and impressive performance at the Nanka West Coast Invitation Tournament. Joey ploughed his way through his division by winning with three straight Ippons to take First Place. Congratulations and a very Happy Birthday to Joey. 

(4/20/24) First of this years promotion tests were held on Friday. Congratulations to Lucas D. and Jacob for earning their yellow belt.  Also Michael, Sebouh and Joey were all promoted to the rank of Orange with Stripe. On the Adult front Hana has been promoted to Sankyu (Brown belt). Congratulations and very well done to you all.
